Crafting everyday keeps the doctor away

Today, I can finally share what my kids wore on this very special day. First up is the flowergirls dresses that I had been carrying on for forever! LOL What started out as a one colored dress/sash ended up as a cream dress with a dark turquoise sash with handmade roses. :) So I cannot claim full credit for the dresses, I’ll have to share the limelight with Mum (for sewing on the sash and roses onto the sash) and sis for making the roses. :)

This is about the best pix I could find with all the flower girls actually in the pix. Sadly there are no close up though. :( The underskirt/tutu I made wasn’t meant to be seen but somehow, it did show and I reckon it looks a lot cuter as it peeks out from under the skirt! :)

And this is just to show what we did with the hair. Sis wanted all the girls to tie up only half of their hair and tie ribbons to it. Love how it turned out. :)

Next up are some shots taken of the kids in their Indian costumes that they wore to sister’s Hindu ceremony in Klang. They also wore different patterned Indian costumes to the wedding reception in Penang. Please bear in mind that I didnt sew these at all, although the last pix of me in the white Punjabi suit is one that Mum sewed up! She’s just AMAZING!!! :D

A rather unflattering pix of me and my big mouth but for the sake of the Punjabi suit, I will ignore the ugly me! lol :P You cant really see the whole suit so I’ll try and post a pix of the suit by it self one of these days so you can see it. Hope you liked what you’ve seen, Sam! :)

  1. Sam Said,

Yay! Love what I have seen! It is wonderful that you are so close to your culture. Other than COOKING Italian….(does speghetti REALLY count???)……….I don’t participate in too much of the Italian “culture”. My loss, I am sure.

Everything is so beautiful. Can you tell me one thing? Is “Jeepa” aunt or god-mother?

I am SO GLAD that you posted pictures. The wedding pictures are gorgeous.

    Thank you !

    Sam
